When many users first came into contact with the machine industry vision system, they were very confused about how to correspond their project requirements to many parameters of the vision system. Today's small series mainly starts from the project point of view and explains how to convert the project requirements into the parameter requirements of the industrial vision system.

Common industrial vision systems include industrial cameras, industrial lenses, visual lighting, image processing software, sensors, motion and control equipment, etc. The project test requirements and the expected structure of the project before selection (including installation environment, number of workstations, installable equipment space), whether to move and the accuracy of detection required.
Industrial Camera
1. Array camera/linear camera
For stationary detection or regular low-speed detection, area array cameras are first considered, and for special applications with large high-speed motion or motion such as rollers, linear cameras are considered.
2,Resolution
Resolution actually refers to the number of camera pixel points, which is commonly referred to as the number of 10,000 pixels. However, it is not necessary to pursue too high a pixel when detecting. When selecting, you can select according to the requirements of project detection accuracy.
3,Frame rate
If you choose to stop detection as much as possible, you can greatly reduce the cost of the entire project. But the detection efficiency is low. When there is motion, selecting a frame exposure shot will cause the line exposure camera to deform the screen. For a particular frame rate selection, a high speed camera cannot be selected blindly. High-speed cameras have high frame rates, but usually require strong lighting, high cost and image processing speed to be affordable. Measurements can only be captured within the sensing area.
4,Color
Software processing is usually converted to grayscale data and processed. The color camera in the industry converts the color through the Bayer algorithm, which is slightly different from the actual color, so it is generally recommended to use a black and white camera.
5. Chip type, size and pixel size
According to the current status of the industry, if the image quality requirements are high or the ambient illumination is low, it is recommended to use and choose a CCD sensor.
In addition to the above parameters, before determining the industrial vision system camera, it is best to ensure that the camera supports the development language or development tools required for the project, and is related to the use of third-party tools.
In order to let everyone start to better LabVIEW visual graphics programming, vision system light source, optical lens, industrial camera, image collection and visual inspection selection, visual image collection, image processing analysis software, interface communication processing, and finally through industrial vision system project practice flexibly carry out visual positioning, measurement and measurement in the real world.
