The guide of this article explains how to get started quickly, how to debug the parameters, how to check the operation mode, and what are the precautions? If you want to better use the ATS series servo driver, come and watch and collect this guide!
Special Reminder]Otong ATS series servo driver picture album, user maintenance manual and other product-related documents can be downloaded to the public number "Otong Aicortech" and the "servo manual.
The first step to get familiar with the interface
After we start the control panel, the upper computer will display the main interface of ATS series servo driver, as shown below:

PC software main window
Browse the main interface from left to right and be familiar with the general composition of the main interface:
The top left is "menu bar"
For core tasks such as adding equipment and debugging parameters, you need to find the target item here before starting the operation.
The left side is "shortcut key"
Provides four commonly used shortcut keys
The middle is "work area"
Any operation that needs to be carried out will show the relevant interface here for us to fill and debug.
The bottom is "information bar"
A series of information states that appear during the operation of the Alton servo drive will be listed and displayed here.
On the right is "User Notes"
If it is the first time to contact the Otto servo drive, it is necessary to read the contents of this project.
Step 2 Add Equipment
First, a communication connection is established.
We can open the following connection settings by "Operation" → "Connection" in the menu bar at the top left or by directly clicking the "Connection" button in the "Shortcut Key:
Upper computer communication connection settings
The factory default of ATS series servo drivers is Modbus serial mode. Select the correct COM port, and other parameters are the factory default values of the driver.
If you have in useChange the communication parameters of the drive, you need to set the correct baud rate, data bits, check bits, stop bits.
Then click the "OK" button to complete the communication link connection.
After the COM port is successfully connected, the gray icon of the menu bar on the left side of the main interface becomes bright and becomes an operable icon.
Second, add equipment.
From the menu bar "Device" → "Add Device" or directly click the "Add Device" button of the shortcut key on the left to open the following Add Device window:
Add Device Interface
You can name the device yourself, configure the correct station address of the corresponding drive, and then click "OK button" to successfully add the drive. The "current status" of the main interface is updated as "connected".
Note: The upper computer software can add or delete multiple drives with different station addresses, but only the current device can be operated at a time.
Finally, check the device status.
View/adjust device information: The following device information window can be opened through the menu bar "Device" → "Device Information" button:

Device Information Interface
Device Information Interface Description
You can also view/adjust the drive status: the following drive status information window can be opened through the menu bar "Device" → "Drive Status" button.

The third stepDebugging Parameters
By clicking on the menu bar "Debug Parameters", the following drop-down window can be displayed:
Debug Parameters initial interface

Debugging parameter description
In addition to the above parameters, our engineers also need to debug other parameters, which can be adjusted or supplemented by "all parameters" in the menu bar.

All parameter selection interface

Description of all parameters
Due to too much parameter adjustment content, it is inconvenient to show it here. For more debugging parameter details, you can download the user manual for reference.
Step 4 Operation Mode
The Run Mode button in the menu bar opens the Run Mode Configuration drop-down interface:
Operating mode selection interface
Operating Mode Selection Interface Description
At this point, we have a clear understanding of the upper computer operation of the ATS series servo driver, and the next step can be added and configured according to your operating habits and referring to the above steps.
However, while operating the upper computer interface, there are several precautions that you need to read carefully to prevent debugging errors from causing the equipment to work abnormally.
User Notes
◾Note items of upper computer configuration parameters:
After using the upper computer to modify the parameters, you need to click the "Update Parameters" button to write the parameters to the drive.
Click the "Reset Save" button to save the parameters to the drive, otherwise the configuration parameters will be lost after the drive is powered down.

◾Parameter setting method:
Operation setting: some parameters can be set in the servo enable state and can still be written to the driver;
Disable setting: some parameters need to be set in the servo disable state to be written to the drive.
◾Parameter effective time:
Take effect immediately: some parameters will have an effect on the drive operation immediately after being written into the drive;
Take effect after re-enabling: some parameters are written into the drive in the drive disabled state, and the effect on the drive operation after re-enabling;
It takes effect after resetting and saving EEPROM: after some parameters are written into the drive, the operation of resetting and saving EEPROM is required to have an effect on the operation of the drive.
