What is the development trend of high-power servo? The application of high-power servo system is more and more extensive, and the requirements of users for servo drive technology are also getting higher and higher. Generally speaking, the development trend of high-power servo system can be summarized as follows:

1. Communication
High-power servo technology will continue to shift rapidly from DC servo systems to AC servo systems. Judging from the current international market situation, almost all new products are AC servo systems. In industrialized countries, the market share of AC servo motors has exceeded 80%. There are more and more AC servo motor manufacturers in China, and they are gradually surpassing DC servo motors. It is foreseeable that in the near future, except in some micro-motor fields, AC servo motors will completely replace DC servo motors.
2. Fully digital
High-power servo The servo control unit using a new high-speed microprocessor and a dedicated digital signal processor will completely replace the servo control unit of analog electronic equipment, thereby realizing a fully digital servo system. The full digital implementation of the original hardware servo control into software servo control, which makes the application of modern control theory of advanced algorithms (such as: optimal control, artificial intelligence, fuzzy control, neural networks, etc.).
3. Using new power electronic semiconductor devices
At present, more and more new high switching frequency power semiconductor devices are used as the output devices of servo control systems, mainly including high power transistors (GTR), power field effect transistors (field effect transistors) and insulated gate transistors (IGBT). The application of these advanced devices significantly reduces the power consumption of the output loop of the servo unit, improves the response speed of the system, and reduces the operating noise. In particular, the latest servo control systems have begun to use a new type of module that integrates control circuit functions with high-power electronic switching devices, called intelligent power modules (IPM). The device integrates the functions of input isolation, energy consumption braking, over temperature, over voltage, over current protection and fault diagnosis. Its input logic level is fully compatible with TTL signals and can be directly interfaced with the output of the microprocessor. Its application greatly simplifies the design of the servo unit and realizes the miniaturization of the servo system.
4. Highly integrated
The new servo system product changes the way the servo system is divided into two modules: speed servo unit and position servo unit, replacing it with a single, highly integrated multi-function control unit. As long as the system parameters are set by the software, the performance of the same control unit can be changed. The sensor configured by the motor itself can be used to form a semi-closed loop adjustment system, and the interface can be used to form a high-precision full closed loop adjustment system with external position or speed or torque sensors. The high level of integration also significantly reduces the volume of the entire control system and simplifies the installation and commissioning of the servo system.
